How a KCU family built a legacy of care
From fleeing Vietnam as refugees in the 1970s to becoming one of the most respected osteopathic surgical families in the Bay Area, the Nguyen family story is one of perseverance, purpose and pride.
Huy Nguyen, DO, a 1992 Kansas City University (KCU) College of Osteopathic Medicine graduate, and his brothers Nang and Richard also became osteopathic surgeons — building a thriving surgical group and paving the way for future DOs. Today, the next generation of Nguyens, including Dr. Nguyen’s sons Brandon and Eric, both KCU graduates, are carrying forward the family’s commitment to whole-person care.
